The person who rules the prior art search rules the patent

"It's a special idea that I've thought without sleeping, can I get a patent for this?"

One day, as a result of conducting a prior art search on the CEO's invention, unfortunately, a competitor had already obtained a patent for the exact same idea (the drawings were almost the same as the rough drawing drawn by the CEO).

When I told the CEO that "the current idea is not novel and the core elements have already been acquired," the CEO was discouraged once, but said thanks "We avoided being sued."

Efforts to think about ideas without sleeping are very important, but when it comes to obtaining a patent, it is more important to understand exactly what kind of prior art exists. Of course, if you can't find them, start filing early so that people with the same idea don't file a patent application first.
